I was very sad and shocked to hear of the untimely passing of Jenni Ledwell. Jenni was one of the most gifted and truthful actors I have had the privilege of working with.
She played Marie in my production of Translations and created the role of Elizabeth Langton in the premiere of Moonshine by Jim Nolan both of which I directed for Red Kettle many years ago.
In more recent times, she lit up the Theatre Royal and national stages with her performances in The Memory of Water and Eden and I had recently contacted her about a role in one of our upcoming Four Rivers productions.
Her passing is a great loss to the theatre community in Waterford and the wider region and my condolences and those of Four Rivers goes out to her family and wide circle of friends in the Waterford arts community.
