Amongst Men – director’s update
Rehearsals for ‘Amongst Men’ by Eoghan Rua Finn are well underway.
Amongst Men takes us back to rural Wexford, 1968. Seán, a local teacher, is tasked with commemorating Ireland’s revolutionary period with his primary school pupils. With divisions still rife and the truth so bitterly contested, Seán’s loyalty to his own family history is tested. A shrewd local TD, an unshakeable clergyman and Seán’s defiant mother, Áine, all fight to defend their own version of Ireland’s past, and present, putting Seán’s future in doubt.
Here is director Deirdre Dwyer with a brief update on how rehearsals are going.
