Pavilion Theatre ‘still reeling’ from ‘brilliant revival’
And so the first professional revival of the first of Billy Roche’s trilogy plays, A Handful Of Stars, comes to an end. Just as audiences at Wexford Arts Centre loved it, those who managed to get tickets to see it at the Pavilion Theatre, Dun Laoghaire gave it ovation after ovation. ‘We are still reeling from an incredible opening night of A Handful of Stars’, they said. ‘This startling play is full of raw emotion and Roche’s well-crafted lines will stay with you … a portrait of masculinity in crisis 1988 style.’ The Pavilion finished by thanking cast and crew ‘for putting so much raw energy into this brilliant revival’.
Slam-dunk!
