Read through of Small Things Like These

Preparing for the stage reading of Small Things Like These are actor Andrew Bennett, Artistic Director Ben Barnes and Stage Manager Saoirse Wadding Hayes. Andrew, who plays Seán in the Oscar-nominated The Quiet Girl / An Cailín Ciúin, will read the work accompanied by new music from singer and musician Eleanor McEvoy. Small Things Like These, written by Claire Keegan, was nominated for The Booker Prize. Set in a Co. Wexford town in the 1980s, it deals with a dark chapter in our past and, specifically, with an individual having the moral courage to do the right thing. It has been described by Sinéad Gleeson as “A haunting and hopeful masterpiece”, A staged reading of Small Things Like These will be performed in Wexford, New Ross, Dun Laoghaire and Bray this December.
