Four Rivers and Wexford Arts Centre are pleased to announce events to accompany the production of Amongst Men by Eoghan Rua Finn at Wexford Arts Centre (April 6/7/8/12/13/14/15)

Tuesday April 11th at 7 pm @ Wexford Arts Centre

Writer/Actor Arthur Riordan, who takes the part of Fr Connick in Amongst Men, will host a writers workshop on Writing for Stage and Screen. Tickets for this workshop can be purchased at www.wexfordartscentre.ie at a cost of €5. Places are limited.

Arthur is an actor and writer and a founder member of Rough Magic Theatre Company with whom he has appeared in many productions, including Peer Gynt, A Solemn Mass for a Full Moon in Summer, Improbable Frequency and The Tempest.

Other recent performances include A Day in May (Lane Productions), Philadelphia Here I Come (Cork Opera House), King Lear (Play in a Van), The Alternative (Fishamble, the New Play Company), From Under the Bed, (Big Guerilla Productions); Krapp’s Last Tape (Theatre Royal, Waterford); Kings of the Kilburn High Road (Gaiety Theatre); Swing (Fishamble). He has also performed with Druid, The Abbey and Peacock, Pan Pan, The Passion Machine, Red Kettle and many more. Arthur has also made numerous TV and film appearances including Holy Island, Borstal Boy, Ripper Street, Lucky in Love, Holy Island and Debutante.

His plays include an adaptation of Joyce’s A Portrait of the Artist As a Young Man, The Train, Improbable Frequency, an adaptation of Peer Gynt and for the Wexford Festival the libretto for Andrew Synnott’s Dubliners.

Post-play discussion Wednesday April 12th @ Wexford Arts Centre

The Director of Amongst Men, Deirdre Dwyer, writer, Eoghan Rua Finn and members of the cast will take part in a post show discussion with the audience following the performance on Wednesday April 12th.
